Needs a deep clean and some tlc
I liked to fish here, but they recently added some signs to some of the docks that said they are privately owned, but the thing that gets me is the sign directly beside or behind them that says they are public docks. Just kind of confusing for a guy that wants to fish and not have to travel around the whole lake to find a public dock.
This is one of Storm Lake's beautiful parks along the lakefront. There is a shelter house with indoor restrooms and two sides that can be rented out. There are also two full-size tennis courts and a rebound wall in addition to a decent playground and plenty of green space. This park also has multiple chainsaw carvings that are spectacular.
The park is beautiful. City takes pride in maintaining every area. I enjoy the historical area of the park. The young people run to each and read or have others read to them. Great family activity. Park is always used and families here are being together!
Storm Lake does an excellent job of keeping its parks in order. This is a great place to come and fish relax or play Frisbee in a beautiful atmosphere near the lake.
